It’s nice to steal these last two wins but they are not playing a full game and these w’s could turn to losses quickly. Hutton won’t always be there bailing them out. They need a more consistent effort.

I don't know what game garth was watching because the one I saw last night, the Sabres were lucky to get a win. They were lucky to win the last 3.

If not for the stellar play of Carter Hutton we might be at the bottom a really tight division. Sooner or later these bad games will catch up with them, but if they don't, then, these are those greasy points they would need to squeak into the playoffs.

Hopefully the play 60 minutes in Minnesota.

A win is a win, but not to drum up bad memories I am still a huge O'Reily fan (BTW - he was leading them in scoring) It would be great to still have him. Lets face it 3 of the premium assets are doing nothing and at times they don't even play. All of the other acquisitions are doing the heavy lifting . I know we still have some draft picks but right now be cool to have him as part of the team. Just be nice to have him taking face offs in the last minute. Oh well let's keep it going.

Getting rid of Oreilly was addition by subtraction. He has good numbers, but every team he is on is a loser. Locker room killer. Leaves Colorado. Playoffs. Leaves Buffalo and now they are a different team. His current team, bottom of division.

I think the Sabres needed to get rid of ORielly in order to move on. Give leadership to a younger group. Purge the stench of the GMTM era.
The Sabres are much better. But It’s an 82 game schedule. You can’t continue to win games if you’ve been outplayed.
