Finally Allen is playing better, but I don't trust it.

This team....

Watched Yeo's after game comments and all I felt was deep empathy for the man. He appeared befuddled and on the verge of tears. This is certainly not someone I would want in charge of any aspect of any business. He did not command my attention, he did not assure me or make me doubt what I have seen. Hitchcock even when he was losing the room and frustrated managed to keep his keel even enough to command my attention and make me doubt that he was failing in any way.

The coach, no matter so called player's coach or what have you, must command respect. It is interesting when you look back at all the different authority figures and their various positions that you have had to deal with in life: from teachers to cops, for me milityary leaders, fire chiefs, first line supervisors, coaches. I have seem some rule with an iron fist and that worked in short doses before creating dysfunction. I have seen the best able to bring in a well timed iron fist, but friendly enough to be approachable and without trying demand your respect and without a word you knew where you stood with them and the boundaries you should not cross. Others could walk that fine line of friendship and remain a leader(very rare). The vast majority had large enough amounts of insecurities that they seemed to be chasing control. They relied upon their position and not their person to create authority and they always failed to do a good job. The only thing that usually held those jobs in place was the leadership of the rest of our groups and not the person supposedly in charge. Problem with that is you make excuses to tohers and yourself and eventually the lies wear thin.

Yeo, I believe he has a good hockey mind and the ability to coach. I am not sure he is a good head coach. I think he never recovered from some insecurities he obtained during his time in Minnesota. Like a man who had a horrible break up that needed to take some time to heal his wounds before dating again he ended up getting serious and when he ran into some similar issues he reverted to the pain of the wounds and not to his new reality.
