Why is Yak out and Mueller in ?

Mueller played well before he got to sit and I thought Yak played well now he is out.

All this while green and lovey continue to make mistake after mistake. (not so much Lovey this time, Im just used to saying it.)

I agree. Greene seems to make some bad choices when gassed. He really needs a reduction in TOI to be effective. LJ is just horrible in every aspect of the game. Watching his attempt to stick up to Buff, on boyle's account was pretty embarrassing. With no Nico/Boyle we will be very exposed against the pens. Its up to zacha and zajac tonight. Ill be putting my money on the pens tonight. At -120 how can you turn that down. Tho Todd is not wrong either, over 6 looks promising.

While I’d rather see Yak then Lovejoy, the problem is Nereddine as much as the personnel.

Nesredineineine is just awful, even if the players are pretty bad themselves.

Glad to see Zacha do it up with Bing. Hopefully he can get some work done with Jo and Bratt. That was the original line that looked good before Bratt went down. We'll see how Zacha handles malkin or crosby's line.

Injured compounded with being terrible is not a good way to get wins.

If Severson is taking shifts with Lovejoy on his wrong side, I don't see why Lovejoy is even playing when you can play Yakovlev and Mueller and put somebody on their off side for shifts.

This is 100% goaltending interference but seeing how the league is who (frank)ing knows.

Why not just tackle the goalie every play. This is such bullpoop.

Remember that goal that was called back last year on Palms for barely brushing the goalie while going around the net? Now Crosby straight bum rushes Kinkaid and good goal? Total (frank)ing nonsense.

Yeah, I remember that one. It makes no sense.

Wood also gets called for goalie interference a lot for taking the puck to the net and initiating contact, which is what's supposed to happen. Crosby gets bumped by Coleman and knocks Kinkaid around when he had the puck covered. If you can't hit the guy going straight to the net what are you supposed to do there? Just let him skate in and score?

The fact that it was called a good goal on the ice is indicative of how awful the reffing in this league is.

Absolutely I have counted 3 missed tripping calls on the Pens now also. I am sure there were some on on us too but when its in the middle of the play it shouldn't be hard to call.

I liked how it used to be when they would let stuff go and call penalties on all of the really blatant stuff. Now you get tons of stupid stick infractions for touching players and the game has sped up so fast that the refs are unable to catch everything. Increasing the scoring in the league by awarding more penalties is the worst trend in the league.

Consistency is the biggest problem here. So many calls are missed, even with video review, that nobody knows what truly is a penalty anymore. Back when you couldn't have your skate in the crease at least it was a black and white penalty, but now what even is a goalie interference because I couldn't explain it to you.
