Is it just me or do the Devils seem to be kicked out of a high percentage of face-offs this season?

I mean, Yeah sure Mueller put up a stinker but so did the whole team. He's had good and bad moments but for the most part he is playing against top competition and doing decently. Think this is sending the wrong message unless he's a little banged up or something.

I hope it's that Mueller just needs a day. He's certainly not the worst D-man in that group.

Completely unjustified to sit Mueller. Way to kill the kid's confidence as soon as he got it together.

Todd maybe I missed it in an earlier blog or something, but are the devils playing a different system this season? It is not like there was a major lineup change, but there just seems to be no chemistry between the players so far and the only thing i can think of is the coaching staff trying out a new system.

Team defensively just looks way too soft. Seems to be more the system they're playing than the players. Maybe too aggressive. Something needs to be tweaked because there's no way they're this bad.

What is this penalty on Noesen even? Push was with hands and wasn't even hard. And moments before they miss a high stick call on Wood. Yeah, okay.

Nothing has changed from last year. We still have a defense-core that doesn't have any top end talent and we have very few forwards that can product offensively. We have 2 lines of fourth liners are best and no secondary scoring.

hate to be that guy already, but I'm slowly but surly giving up on the season. depressing. we'll get another top 5 pick, Smith will join the team with that top 5 pick, Hischier and the kids will take a step forward, annnd by the following season we'll be competitive.

He’s had 13 shots in 4 games which is pretty good
