Duncan Keith, Anisimov(50% salary retained) and a second rounder would probably get it done. Toronto isn't really dealing from a position of strength now that everyone knows that Nylander doesn't have a future in TO, and Babs would love to have Keith shore up that blue line.

The Leafs not only hold all the cards, Nylander is an RFA, Nylander is losing tens of thousands of dollars every day and the Leafs are playing well and winning without him. The deadline is coming, if Nylander doesn't sign he loses a full seasons paycheque. The Leafs hold all the cards.

Agree the team needs a complete overhaul build around kane dcat toews and joki maybe keith unless an offer comes that makes sense anyone else gone. Including dynasty killer Bowman and mcego lets see if rocky has the stones to fire them both when the hawks are picking in the top 5? My guess he doesn't, it was a plan attack and backstabbing of Coach Q and it was orchestrated by Mcego and bowman and rocky either was apart of it or stood by and let it happen shame on him no matter what. Until bowman and mcdoungh are gone it will be the same. Another decade or more of futility.

Somebody has been telling him he is worth more than anybody around the league thinks he is. BTW his agent is Lee Gross who represents Brandon Saad. I don't think Stanhope needs another round of negotiation with that guy.

Enzo, this team is never gonna win a thing with a guy like Nick Schmaltz " driving the bus", you just witnessed 3 cups in the last 8 years, a lot of blood sweat and tears left on the ice to win those cups! Nick Schmaltz has no intention of contributing any such attributes needed to achieve that goal. Just look at how he plays. He's got Bowman and most Hawk fans bullschlitted. Hopefully Bowman can make a Lysiak type hockey trade centered around this kid for another young forward or a top 2 D man.
The D man. I've been beating the Drum that guys like Ruutta Gus are nothing more that either AHL or elite Euro beer leaguers but Bowman is trying to pull a feather out his Arse with these guys, same with some of the forwards.
Other than a guy like Panerin , most of these undrafted free agents that Bowman wants to cram down our throats, weren't drafted for a reason n the first place. They're not good enough otherwise they would have been taken in the draft.
I hope Bowman , with a push from JC, moves on from some of these guys within the next few games.

Schmaltz has been a big disappointment this year after a promising season last year. You can be a lightweight if you have that nasty/killer instinct. Look no further than Debrincat who shows that competitive fire as a tiny man on the ice. Haven’t seen anything close to that from Little Nicky.
