Not sure i'd call 20 in 14 "almost 2 points a game". It's closer to 1 than 2. - geoff_182

I have a novel idea, how about we fire Jim Rutherford. Chicago just fired Quenneville. Cups don't make you untouchable, and clearly JR's signings of late aren't doing poop.
Leave Kessel where he is, and stop talking about trading him. It's absolutely ridiculous. |

Say no to trading Kessel and yes to hiring Milbury as GM and John Stevens as coach. |

Why does everyone jump straight to Doughty from LA? He isn’t going anywhere especially not for Kessel, kings don’t need him that badly. Although their offense does suck! The Dmen the kings are looking at possibly trading are Muzzin and Martinez. Why in the world would the kings trade a top 3 player in Doughty? - KINGS67
Because it's what they want, not what is realistic. |

They are not going to trade Kessel. Get that thought out of your head.

Kessel/Määttä/2nd RP for Jamie Benn/Honka. Fair value.
Dallas is in need of a change and Pens would get a young Bill Guerin version. |

"I don't anyone thinks Sid and Geno." Have some respect for your profession. Please edit your work. You are literally getting paid to be a hockey geek. 'Journalist' would be too strong a word for your... ahem... 'efforts.' |

"especially Geno, who has 20 points in only 14 games...And yet, Malkin's plus/minus? ZERO. Almost 2 points a game" - Mathematically Malkin is actually closer to 1 point per game than 2. But you're a sports "journalist," so why would you care about accuracy? That's right, hack journalism. Forgot who I was referring to. Keep up the horrible work, Eklund. 😂 |

This is a 'sports journalist' we are talking about here. The equivalent of a hack writer. Actually makes sense. Only morons take sports so seriously they desire to make their garbage opinions on them their life's work. Living vicariously through another's accomplishments. Sounds about right. |

But you're here on the site reading those opinions ! What's that make people like you ? People are laughable on here...Keep whining about Eklund, but you're hear everyday...Just shut up about it, or go to another site |

Some really good articles out there. One is the blog by Ryan Wilson bringing up a major issue.... Rutherford's made some poor moves. Funny to me that those moves happened after botterrill left. Something a lot of us were concerned about.
Another article is on Pensburgh and the score. It's breaking down who the GMJR was talking about. Mainly Rust, Guentzel, Sprong, Maata.....plus, possibly Murray. DeSmith is a solid NHL tender, just undersized. Jarry is pretty much just being held in the minors to get playing time.
Also, it seems like the only untouchables are Sid, Geno Letang, and KESSEL. If think that Shultz is pretty close...maybe Dumoulin too. And, Oleksiak, with his unique skill set may make the optimal partner for Schultz. When he's on he's on. |

Saying that, Sprong is most likely getting moved for the best offer or going to be put through waivers to continue development. Guentzel doesn't get moved unless it's for a nice package sinve he's a phenomenal playoff performer.
I could see a move involving Rust and/or Maata. If it's Murray it's in a package that includes one of the two above or Jake. A veteran goalie would have to come back along with a RH D that's capable of moving the puck and playing in the top 4 in emergency cases, a forward like Kapinen who still has a lot to prove, but can play, or a sheary type who can play up and down the lineup but isn't "perfect" and most likely a prospect or pick.
So, movement? Yes. One of the "big 4?" No way. (Unless the oilers are involved) |
