Montreal and Edmonton expressed the most interest when he was UFA. He picked Edmonton to play with McJesus...

Report for that summer was that Montreal offered a little more money than the Oilers but Lucic decided to go play with McDavid.

His intensity level, no-look passes and turnovers are kind of frustrating to watch.

Very... half dozen times at least last night he threw the puck blindly up the middle, 3 times in one sequence, all turnovers

Well it goes back to what we were saying ago.

Consistancy his is biggest challenge.

Vs the Islanders, most of what he tried worked and he looked amazing.

Yesterday, everything failed and turned into major mistakes.

He has to learn from this and improve.

There's no excuse for a player constantly turning the puck over at his own blue line

the entire team needs to learn how to play tighter and protect a lead, especially given that it looks like Carey Price is not going to be able to close these types of games out. i imagine Weber will help with that.

also the 2-on-1s... good god please practice defending them.

He thinks he's a lot better than he actually is. He calls himself an elite winger.....

Weber would have helped and will help on the PP as well.

Also, the reffing was atrocious. Both ways. Ridiculous calls on plays that were nothing to penalize.

Yeah, I don't recall his name but they said it was a "new" ref out there.

Let's just say Julien seemed less than pleased with his work.

Well, he's got the talent for it. He just needs to understand that at certain times, carrying the puck through the neutral zone over and over isn't conducive to keeping a lead.

Absolutely. The cerebral part of his game still needs work and his attitude as well. If he can get those things in order then he'll be elite. I wouldn't be so quick to call a 54 point winger with attitude and compete issues elite as of yet.

The talent is there and it's frustrating. I'm sure it'll come with age.
