Looks like they moved Sheahan to C. I’m happy with this. |

Cullen as 3C. - Thorny87
I wouldn’t read into the order of the lines. That Cullen line is Grant-Cullen-Sprong. The other line is Rust-Sheahan-Hornqvist. Pretty clear to me which one is gonna be deployed as the third unit. |

Good point. Even as a 4th that line is blah. Good thing we have last change. |

I agree that Cullen unit is ass. Brassard can’t come back fast enough. |

Nothing much from the bottom of this line up so far. Your starting goalie has a GAA way north of 3. How long can the Pens continue to win with these issues? |

Clearly.
It's funny, I wasn't a fan of Sheahan and it took me a while to come around on him. Now, I think they're not utilizing him properly. He's better than how they're using him.
I think that proposed line would be quite effective and hopefully they give it more than a few shifts before breaking it up. I'm getting quite aggravated with Sullivan. He clearly plays favorites on how much slack he gives and some lines he'll break up after one 30 second shift.
He doesn't give lines enough time to stick. |

I know that McDavid is now crowned the best player in the game, and there's no denying how he plays the game at a different speed than 99.9% of the players that have ever played. But, Matthews in my opinion is just as good. And, Petterson is sooo smooth...I feel like he could get to that level very soon. We've been blessed with so much amazing talent since the 05 lockout.
Oh, and I'll still take Sid as the #1 player all around. He just plays the game unlike anyone I've ever seen. |

Disagree, but as you said with Petsy he could get to that level soon. I don't know about AM's defensive game, but offensively, I'm waiting till AM puts up atleast 100 point season before making the claim he is McD's peer. |

I don't think you'll see too many fans worrying. Murray has been improving. DeSmith is solid. Jarry is NHL ready.
Offensively, Hornquist will provide plenty and Rust will come around. Sprong's showed some life recently. ZAR hasn't even sniffed the big club this year and he's beyond a solid bottom 6 player.
Plus, Brassard showed some really good things late last season before his injury.
And, while waiting for those guys to get going you have the big 4, Sid, Geno, Phil, and Letang (thank God Letang looks like his former self) actually playing better this year than the last few....that's saying something. Oh, and Schultz will be back eventualy on top of the improved play of Oleksiak.
So, 4 of the best players in the league (possibly 2 of the top 3/4 in Geno and Sid), a 2x Stanley cup winning goalie, and an eventual extremely solid top 4 on D. This team is set up perfectly for another deep run. |

I guess I could see that. I just feel that his overall game and intelligence makes him more responsible. He's always in the right place. McDavid's going to have to learn to slow down his game a little just like Sid had to do after a couple seasons. Kinda use that explosiveness less frequently. I mean, it's amazing to watch, but I feel like it makes him more of a one man show. |

He has to be a one man show. His team is garbage and his GM (frank)ed him. Although I’m not sure how a guy with 67 assists can be considered a one man show. |

How hard is it to change the lines rotation through a game?
If Sully for example starts Geno against Tavares so our 2nd V their 1st, is it difficult to change that rotation to say our 3rd line V their 1st? As example. |

Not yet. Having high end talent around has helped Matthews, not sure you would see him do so well if they swapped teams.
I said this yesterday, but the Nucks are putting together a nice string of wins this season. Their young guns are going to be very good if they continue to develop & get some help with a couple of good FA's. Should be a very competative team soon. |

Fluke/luck. Seriously. It's fluke/luck that they're all GWGs certainly could never classify a guy who only has 6 career goals as clutch. . For a guy who was picked in the top 10 and pegged to be an strong offensive dman. 6 goals over the games he's played is pretty low. |
