I think this is the only devils game I have turned off early. Hopefully it is a one off. |

Mueller has been about the only pleasant surprise so far this season - Senor_Elias
Mueller, Severson, Dea, Coleman, Greene, Kinkaid, Palmieri are guys who have been better than I expected so far (in that order of how surprised I am)
Zacha, Noeson, Butcher, and any rookies (JQ/Anderson) have been a bit disappointing so far.
Everyone else has pretty much been about what I felt like the reasonably would be. Obviously it sucks that Bratt hasn't played at all yet. Mojo's numbers are disappointing but he looks very good out there most nights.

It's all perspective boys. As I stated after the 4 game winning streak to start the season, it is a long season and there will be many ebbs and flows. So need to shake this off and get back to playing our speed game. Keep the faith! |

What others teams with a top 4 dman available struggling out the gate ? St. Louis ? L.A? We could use a shake up.
I would be really interested in seeing if we have the right parts to trade for Nylander but I wouldnt want to give up either of Boqvist or Smith and really they are likely looking for a top four defender right now plus something for him wich isnt something we can cough up. |

Its not about winning it, its about standing up for your boys, which no one else did. he got a thumbs up and respect from me.
Also, that was game 10, one more than Ty was allowed. Given all that happened, should he have been given the 9 game try out ? |

incredible, honestly. I never thought I'd see the day, and I'm not being sarcastic. Hope Zacha does find his game, and I'm serious about a psychologist. I'm no pro scout, or therapist.. (tho I am a social worker with crisis kids/teens lol), but something just seems flat about him. maybe i'm over-analyzing. |

I think you are. Lots of top talents in sports, entertainment etc have therapists too. Its no big deal and prob a big help sorting stuff out, if he even needs that stuff. I think he needs to play his game enough for it to become second nature. It got lost somewhere before he got to NJ. Maybe he needs a change of scenery as in another team.
I always wondered about nature in hockey. Like if Crosby was drafted by the Isles, Panthers, would he still be Crosby? Maybe scoring 100 pts gave him confidence to excel and if ended with 60 on the cats maybe that would have hampered his best player in world status. |

I know it did wonders for Bratt and MA Fleury.
At this point they should just leave him down there till Christmas. I wonder if Patty would have played Zacha’s rookie year how that might have helped his development. |

I've always wondered that as well, always in the back of my mind with Zacha. That one game with them together they looked so comfortable. maybe just coincidence. But you gotta believe Zacha looked up to Elias, one of the best Czech players of all time. Patty could've played another year too I bet. Injuries, age, family.. and if you feel like you can't compete at the level you're used to.. it makes sense when players retire before we feel like they're done. Feels like a wasted opportunity though. |

unless you think Mario had that much of an effect on how good Crosby was, then yea.. he'd still be Crosby. He joined a pretty terrible Pens team, which is why they drafted him 1st overall. The kid would've scored 100 wherever he was drafted. He is a generational talent.

Yeah, you can really tell by how he plays that he needs mental help. Because that isn't (frank)ing stupid at all. |

What are you talking about in the second paragraph i am a little confused by it. The 10 game mark is for jr players essentially and Mueller is way past that?... |
