Hopefully Frost makes people forget they traded Brayden Schenn for Jori Lehtera.

Patrick developing more hopefully takes that edge off as well.

In the future the CHL needs to allow 19 year olds to play in the AHL.

Going back as a dominant 19 year old that was already to good for the league at 18 but not quite good enough for the NHL yet, only ruins a players development. Lighting up 16-18 year olds doesn't really improve your game at all.

They need to adapt playing against grown men and build their confidence earlier.

I doubt this will ever change but I really hope it does.

Well, I agree, but the CHL teams are also in the business of making money, so losing their top players isn't in their best interests.

I'd like to adopt the strategy that each NHL team can pick one player from the entire CHL to play in the AHL. This limits the amount of CHL players that are "lost" to 31 players or less (currently), whereas some teams could possible take 4-5 top-end players from across the league. As compensation, the NHL team would be required to pay the player's former CHL team the player's first-year AHL salary.

Give a raise to the guys who have been picking your first round forwards.

According to Flyer fans, everyone is a bust because they don't jump right to the NHL and become 80 point scoring machines...like other teams seem to have.

Seriously, you would be shocked at some of the things said about our young players and it is embarrassing.

You're an idiot. (I'll happily take a ban for that one).

'Hellish Organization that players are trying to escape'.

Honestly, the most shortsighted comment I've heard in years. Yes, they've had a run of bad seasons, and a FORMER owner who thought dressing his kid was a good idea, but they've moved past that.

Their NHL drafting record is one of the best (if not the best), and before the start of this year had 3 alumni captaining their respective NHL teams. MacKenzie (FLA), Foligno (CLB), Mike Fisher (NSH).

Now, the some of NIMBY's in Sudbury trying to roadblock a new Arena / Entertainment District, the vision of the new owner... that would be considered, 'hellish'.

People don't get banned for making fun of me. I'm against it.

You need to re-evaluate that list and also look at the top-5 OHL priority selections they have helped ruin. Not to mention players that immediately leave to breakout "unexpectedly" like Sokolov. Maybe things are better as you say, but until they prove it, I will hold to this conviction.

That page you provided has no non-4th liner in the NHL since Nick Foligno from 2006.

It has been over a decade for them to produce a top-6 player and an inconsistent one at that. This with all the high picks they can use. I get that it's harder for them to court talent in their region versus the hotbeds like London, Windsor or Kitchener, but they haven't done anything recently with the talent they have managed to grab.

This is the list for the past decade of all of their OHL Priority selections. Some played for them, some didn't, but all selected. If 196 games of 6-7 defense and 4th line forwards is your definition of success, then I suppose we are at an impasse.
