I don't see Trouba having a long term future with the Jets and it's a shame. I'm a Trouba fan but he's not the type of guy you sell the farm for. Winnipeg would want more from a Central division rival, likely something along the lines of Debrincat or Boqvist.

The problem is convincing teams to give you good players for ones that suck.

We've gone nuclear. Saad-Toews-Kane.

Even during their hot start the first 2 weeks, there were serious red flags with the amount of shots allowed, defensive zone play, and an anemic powerplay. With Toews' line slowing down and virtually ZERO depth scoring.....I think the last 2 weeks are much more accurate representation of the 2018/19 Blackhawks....sub 500 team

I’ve posted recently that I find it useless judging the team on their latest game. I prefer looking at them in 8-game increments, with each 8-game group representing 10% of the season.

After the first 8 games the hawks were 4-4. (To me a loss is a loss...I measure OT losses equally with regulation losses.). Being at .500 was about what I expected, perhaps even better than I expected given the lackluster offseason. Better yet, the games were exciting.

The second 8 got off to a good start: 2-0. But the last three losses now have them at 2-3 and finishing this 8 at 4-4 is starting to look like a stretch.

I think I am in agreement with you: the team is not showing any development during this small sample. I don’t see much from them this year.

Martinsen just lost his balance...unfortunately he's been one of our best forwards tonight. At least he's taking the body and opened up the ice for a Kunitz prime scoring chance.
Need to get Cat back scoring.....

This is the first time that this team has looked like last year's team with the exception of some decent goaltending and a player(29) who looks like he wants to hurt somebody.

well we knew the wild wild wild west of the first 4-5 games was not going to continue...and it hasn't...now they can't score but are making enough bad plays to get beat...

i said any team has a bad 8-10 game stretch in this division will be in huge trouble...just ask the blows...and if the hawks have entered one of those...well this season may be over by thanksgiving...
