Big fan of those top 3 line combos. Hopefully L4 does not see much toi. I really think Mueller has been huge in the shut down role, and is a factor in the Dev's successful pk. I agree that Gryba looks terrible with butch, and hope to see Santini sooner than later on that pairing. Lets see how we measure against the top dog. Go Devs!!!

I agree with trying Yakovlev out. I just don't see how anybody could be worse than Gryba.

And no, I don't miss Lovejoy at all.

I was wondering if we can dress 7 defenders and get Yak some game action.
I'm worried about him based on preseason, but his speed is better then Gryba.

I only miss Lovejoy in the way I would miss cleaning up cat vomit if my cat poops all over the place. Like when they get crap stuck to their fur and leave skid marks everywhere. That's how.

Amen to the LJ comment. I would be fine with trying Yakovlev out for a few games to see what he can do. If he fails, maybe it would be worth looking into Kulikov from Winnipeg. They are cash strapped, and he has 4.33M remaining this season and the following which is no fuss for the devs. Former 1st rounder that can skate well, and be acquired for what would likely be peanuts. Anybody know the ETA on Santini?

The Devils have activated Ben Lovejoy off IR, and he will play tonight in Tampa. Eric Gryba has been assigned to Binghamton to clear a roster spot

Hedman is a F-ing beast. Having him in the press box weakens our defense considerably. Thank god for McDonagh (even with his atrocious contract) right now. But, our second and third pairs are a nightmare - Hall should be able to feast on either of Koekkoek-Girardi or Coburn Sergachev. Both are odd pairings with a promising youngster chained to an elderly pylon.

(To be fair, Coburn is playing pretty good lately)

They’ve done very well at drafting and finding late round Gems the Devils on the other hand always seem to pick to one player in the first round that won’t be a NHLer lol

Ironically the 2 goals were not from the Hall line. But yeah the devils are no where near the level of Tampa.
