Bobby Kittleberger: The 2018 Ducks and the 1974 Washington Capitals If the Anaheim Ducks continue to give up the amount of shots they've been giving up without generating some additional offense, they're going to be a lottery team by season's end.

What is going on with Rakell? Playing first line minutes and producing nothing

The 3rd was better against SJ but it needs to be for 60 min.
Chance to be better against flyers. Standing up at the D line seemed to help.

Guys really miss guys like Kase here. Also Perry over players like Sherwood would also go a long way. The system is the second issue, how can this defense give up so many shots??

Yeah. I get it. The ducks are statically bad. It's just still too early in the season to make a change. It's the 30th of October and we are .500 . Truly the best outcome for this year would be if team just keeps working out their problems and master the system at hand. Then make tweaks to the system.
Honestly we need to see if this experiment is going to work. And we need to give every chance to succeed. So change players or coaches mid process would only at minimum delay or setback any new changes. Especially if it's a new coach. Because the new guy will want his own system instituted. I mean unless the point is to tank. Then that would be one way of doing that.

If a -175 shot differential won’t get Carlisle fired after 12 games I don’t know what will. He must have compromising pictures of Murray.

Nah. Randy dosen't need pictures. All he needs is a great goaltender and just enough offense. The most important thing is winning to Bob Murray. How we win I not even sure is in the top 5 of priorities for this season. Let's find out. 1,2 ,3 "crunch"

#1: win
#2: enacted new quicker system
#3: develop younger players
#4: get older players healthy
#5: don't get embarrassed in the playoffs again if we
make it
#6: don't get gibby hurt
#7: make fun of advanced stats dudes if we make playoffs again

See. Not even in the top 5 lol

But if we are talking about firing Randy Carlyle then it really is about wins. We haven't won In 7 games. So I think it will definitely take at least double that for Bob to fire the coach. I mean a real collapse. Not just some bad shooting metrics.
I really find it hard to believe though that any fan could root for that though. I mean to watch your team slowly go down the toilet and not want want them to improve just because you hate the coach. That's some cold stuff right there.
