Big game today. It's a nice test for the Hawks to see if they can rebound from a poor effort defensively.

I haven't seen any changes to the lineup and I suspect we won't know until the pre-game and i would guess you see Davidson and 1 of Kampf or Martinsen in.

Cam Ward will get the start and will need to be sharp.

Since Kunitz has been there the line has shown solid corsi and goal diff. but to the eye isn't a threat to score nor does it add that spark that the Hawks could use from the lower lines.

I was at the game last night and watched Kunitz the entire shift for a number of shifts. He did nothing except repeatedly relinquish possession to the Blues, and take ice time away from younger players who should be developed. Bad, bad decision by Stanbo to sign him, and bad, bad decision by Q to play him (so far in every game - geez!) and at least according to some posts I've seen for Q to request that Stanbo sign him on the first place.

As to the D, Keith was decent. Unfortunately Seabs, Rutta and Manning were terrible, and Gus's offensive abilities, as usual, were negated by his unwillingness and/or inability to engage opponents defensively. All in all, Hawks are very, very lucky that Joker is playing as well as he has, and must hope Forsling and Murphy get back quickly, if their "playoff juggernaut" is to continue to "roll on!"

So Justin what are the hawks looking for big trade minor trade or just dumping salary. What they looking for top 6 forward top 4 d man unlikely because who is giving up top 4 d man without giving up something substantial or bottom 6 scoring with some grit physical and scoring ability?
