Blackhawks lines:
DeBrincat-Toews-Kahun
Saad-Anisimov-Kane
Fortin-Kampf-Schmaltz
Kunitz-Kruger-Hayden/Martinsen

I would try:

DeBrincat-Toews-Kahun
Saad-Kruger-Kane
Fortin-Anisimov-Schmaltz
Kunitz-Kampf-Hayden

When the Panarin for Saad trade happened, Forsberg was touted as the hidden gem in it.

I know the excuse for him is that he was thrown into a sink or swim scenario, and there's some truth to that. But, on the other hand, there's guys who get put into that situation and run with it - finding success.

It obviously all depends of the person/player, talent, system, etc., but I don't think Forsberg has "it" in terms of what the Hawks are expecting from him. I think Columbus had a hunch that might be the case and that's why they were OK with throwing him into the trade.

Hopefully it works out for the guy, whether it's with the Hawks system or somewhere else, but I think it's a tough road for him in Chicago if he passes through waivers.

I’d bet he ends up as part of a trade package if he clears once all our Dmen are healthy.

Nick Schmaltz moves from 2C to 3RW
Brandon Saad returns as 2LW
Artem Anisimov moves from 3C to 2C
Chris Kunitz moves from 3LW to 4LW
David Kampf moves from 3RW to 3C
Marcus Kruger moves from 4LW to 4C
Alexandre Fortin moves from 2LW to 3LW

Well a little change can be good sometimes!

To help the youngsters Kunitz doesn't need to play everyday, does he? No. No, he doesn't. Hayden and Martensen centered by Kooga seems better. Better. Stronger. Faster. We have the technology.

Go hocks!

Seems like what makes the most sense is to let him play in the AHL and get a big work load.

He needs to play. Ward is on a one year, someone will need to back up Crow next year.

I'm not as high on Delia as some.

DeBrincat-Toews-Kahun
Saad-Anisimov-Kane
Fortin-Kampf-Schmaltz
Kunitz-Kruger-Hayden-Martinsen

So, a promotion for Saad and Fortin after strong games.

A demotion of sorts for Schmaltz as they look to get him going, as well as create more scoring depth.

A definite demotion for Kunitz. Unfortunately, he has brought nothing to this team (on the ice) since training camp.

Crap. Did he?? I was only able to catch a little here and there of those games.

I'll keep my eyes peeled tonight.

My biggest complaint with Schmaltz is over-passing and not putting the puck on net...

Saad actually showed a pulse last game so let's hope he grabs this opportunity and makes something of it. I like Anisimov centering Kane better than Schmaltz so maybe that helps Saad find his niche on that line.

I like the speed and potential of Fortin-Kampf-Schmaltz - the three guys who all scored their first goal of the season last game.

Hopefully separating him from Kane (and Toews his first year) will get him thinking shoot first.

Spreading out the play makers on the 2nd and 3rd lines. Big center who will do some dirty work and a speedy winger on the opposite wing.

This team needs scoring depth big time. Maybe this helps.

Part one of my plan successfully completed, part two is the healthy return of Murphy.

Don't forget Forsling needs to be recalled. I can't see the Hawks wanting him in Rockford for too long.

Does part 3 involve Murphy becoming a better hockey player?
