That top line in the AHL is looking good so far. Curious if one of them gets the call up on Saturday. As discussed in the other blog, one might expect it to be Balcers.

Resigning? Sure. With Ottawa? Not so sure. I'd keep him for the right price, though.

Not sure there is a lot of support for an 8 year $65m deal. He is a very good player. But, the beginning of the Sens window is still three years out Maybe it is better for the Sens to pass and consider the trade option at this time.

I could live with that if he actually wants to stay. Hes pkayed great this year so far, and his speed will keep him relevant if his offensive skills ever decline.

Nick Paul recalled.

Lets get him in the game, enough jockeying back and forth. He played really well in his last game in Bellveille.

I've become rather pessimistic on him in recent years, and would love for him to prove me wrong.

Nick Paul, at times, could be a dominant player in junior. He used his size very effectively.

Size does not give you the same advantage in the NHL that it does in junior.

Paul can look really strong on one shift and come out the next and appear like he is taking the shift off. Logan Brown, another big player, seems like a similar player. Big players that play without intensity stand out in a negative way (perhaps unfairly).

In my opinion, Eric Lindros was the best big man in terms of using his size and strength effectively. He always maintained his physical presence even though he was the most skilled player on the ice. He was never the same player after the Stevens hit.

I often wondered if his size was giving him a leg up so to speak in junior. I still think he could make it in the NHL, but at this point he needs to put up.

Since he wont be getting top line minutes, I think he was the best choice to call up as Balcers and Batherson can continue to play together in Belleville.

Posted this in a blog from a few days ago, just before a new one came out, but how has Chabot looked defensively?
