I am not surprised at all, but shutting down the top players in every game so far is pretty impressive.

And everyone thought Shero was on crack for a quiet offseason, the mofo new what we have!

All good so far but if we have to highlight a negative it'd have to be the 2nd PP unit. Woof.

Everyone looks like they're playing hard every shift. I'm not so worried about Nico or Hall getting points because the team has been buzzing.

That Dallas power play is clearly dangerous as (frank). Impressive (and a bit lucky) we held them off.

The results will change at some point but this team is really fun to watch play. Beyond the goals JS Dea looks like a pretty smart player. I'm trying to like Q, but I'm not seeing much from him. He's holding his own, but not standing out. I was expecting a bit of a drop off from Pickleman this year, but that guy is still all in.

Erika Wachter might be gorgeous but I actually really like her interviews. She seems enthusiastic and genuine. A legitimately all around upgrade over Deb Placey.

Nico is fearless but man he worries me when he goes hard to the net. He's been getting banged around pretty good so far this season. Another great win and another solid outing for the defense. Do we ride the hot hand with KK when Cory comes back?

YES KK has more than earned #1 status.

I think Keith Kinkaid is our goalie until otherwise

I don't know if its been mentioned enough. But Wood and his ability to agitate, think Benn and Kovy, takes those star players off their game which never shows up in the stat sheet. Along with 20 goals a year his contract will be a huge bargain.

He also had a great defensive play breaking up a 2 on 1...

Not a lot of players with elite speed, some scoring touch, and the ability to fight.

I know its only 4 games, but the way they are playing gives me more trust in Shero. He took a lot of crap for not doing much in the offseason but goes to show he knows what he doing.

Dare I say he reminds me of Claude Lemieux?

Did he really take a lot of crap? This offseason had a ton of just okay players being overpaid because the cap increased.

Appreciate the good write up Todd.

My 10 takeaways:
1. Hall seems a bit frustrated that he's not scoring - hope he doesn't try to "do too much" and sticks to his game
2. Nico needs to bulk up or he's going get killed out there
3. Woods was lucky that haymaker missed or chicklets would have been flying, but he did bring a ton of energy
4. Injury to Butcher could be bad? Do we bring up Ty to replace him?
5. Kincaid certainly doesn't look like an NHL goalie but he is sure playing like one
6. Mueller is quietly very solid
7. 2nd PP was a mess
8. Palmieri is en fuego
9. Speed kills - penalty kill was awesome
10. Quenville looks like an AHL'er

Sorry no way we bring up Ty when we have 2 defensemen sitting in the press box.

I certainly realize that, but would be curious to see him play a few NHL games Maybe they can play him for the "9 games" and then send him back down without waivers?

Pretty sure he can't be brought up until his junior season ends

I don't think he took any crap unless he reads some of the posts on this site and cared. You are right though, what he did this offseason was avoid any mistakes. Other GMs are counting on a lockout and the compliance buyouts that will result -that is a gambling gm.....

Would've been nice to get DeHaan still, but I'm sure he did what he could there
