The Blues can go for it all they want, they won’t win a cup even if they added Martin Brodeur...wait, they already tried that.

I don't know, A lot of people keeping thinking the Blues as a Western Powerhouse, I just don't see it. Always seemed to be like a good team but can never get over that hump, and in the early going they still look like that. I could be wrong by season's end but they always seem like they're missing something to get them to that next level.

They had an awesome run in 2016, only problem was that so did the Sharks. That was the best playoff hockey I think I've watched. Seemed like every team was fired up.

The Blues IMO are icing their best forward group in years and paired with an already strong defense they should be a powerhouse. Why aren’t they a powerhouse? Goaltending.

Obviously they’re struggling across the board right now, but having all these new faces I expect a slow start until they gel.

If they can address the goaltending issue I think they are potentially the best in the west.

He stayed on the bench for me for the second half of the double week start. So I did great this week, its the future that worries me.

You could be right, time will tell if they can land a top notch goalie, but they don't hand them out like candy and you got to give up something significant for a guy like Bobrovsky!

Speed.

They are glacially slow compared to most contending teams.

Tampa? I assume you're referring to the Leafs. Well it's like this, we don't know what we got right now at the moment. They're still a bit of a mystery yet. We all know what there pros and cons are. Lots of fire power but are a bit of a mess on defense. They played a lot more sound game on D against the Caps but that is what they need to do all the time...question is....can they? Freddy is typically sluggish in October but he looked good on Saturday night.
For me as a fan, I hope we will be very successful in the up and coming years but time will tell I guess.

Good points, but there is no way on God's Green Earth that anything with the Blues will ever be fixed until they clean up their absolutely horrid play in front of their goaltenders. I understand the criticism of Allen, but so far this year, the team in front of him has been awful.

I'm not interested in getting Bob from CBJ- I'm interested in trying to pry Brad Shaw back as an assistant coach to see if he can fix the defense. The number of games Yeo and his staff have to work this out is getting smaller and smaller by the day.
