Big opportunity missed by the NHL. Lets not have a single sport on TV except one MLB game and daytime darts...... Ya and 15 games on Saturday. Smart. At least the players are showing some personality and scoring is up, bc the NHL has not done a thing to improve viewership.

Makes no sense if i dont have any plans on a friday i love having the option to sip a few pops wind down the week and watch my squad or even a good west coast match up double header. To not have a game on friday when football runs everything for these six months 3 nights a week isnt great exposure

Thanks. Very few articles on the NHL scheduling to start the season. Besides the Friday night game schedule, or lack thereof, there have been several nights with limited games and some teams have only played two games. This is not the way to build momentum to start the season in any market. It will be interesting to see if attendance figures overall are impacted by the slow starts. Regardless, just a poor way to conduct business.
