I’ll take Rutta over Manning any day. The fact that we haven’t seen Davidson yet is troubling to me since he looked better than both Manning and Rutta in the ore season.

I think Rutta still has more room to improve. I think Manning is what he is at this point.

Neither one has been good so which one is pressboxed means nothing. My guess is its part of Q’s whole not messing with the lineup while they are winning why Davidson is not playing yet. Either that or has been horrible in practice.

The make up calls are what drive me nuts. Who says both teams should have equal (or nearly so) PP opportunities? If one team is carrying the play, and dominating possession, it stands to reason that the team playing from behind and constantly chasing the puck is more likely to commit infractions. Yet you rarely see a huge split in PP’s at the end of a game.

The other one that chaps my ass is the whole “let them play” mantra that is the standard late in games and in the playoffs. A penalty is a penalty. It shouldn’t matter if it’s the first period of the pre season, or OT in game 7 of the cup final. Call the rule book always.

I agree with you Ogi on both counts. And I was close enough to it for years to know that that's just the way it is. There is more and more arrogance and attitude the higher you go.

He might still be feeling residuals from the concussion. I hope he hasn't met his ceiling yet. It's too early to cap off now.

Actually Rutta and Forsling were awful together. It culminated in one especially bad game that resulted in Forsling being sent to Rockford and Rutta being benched.

I know they went downhill, but they didn't start that way. I wouldn't have necessarily called them shutdown top 4 d, but I think Forsling could be.

Those of you railing on JJ are just a piece of work. Everyone on here had their chance to argue/debate/opinions on every blog. I’m certain all you two bit hockey know it alls were absolutely perfect in every opinion prediction that spewed out your mouth. How about you just stick with the subject of the Blackhawks, and leave your half-baked opinions on people no longer here in your pie holes.

3 years in some cases.

The hawks are 3-0-2 The captain is playing like everyone’s hoped. The team over all is a work in progress. With some young player (28,12 and to a lesser extent 24) giving us hope. So why the sudden hate/ bashing of JJ who put out blogs and info about our beloved hawks helping spread hockey info. LOve him or hate him it’s in the pass let’s cheer the hawks and be happy.
