Thanks as always for the write-up Todd. I was at the game last night--great all around.

Have to give Copley some credit too--despite the goals against he made a number of pretty big stops. I felt like that game could have easily been 10-0.

Awesome game! MJ was nasty out there, looked like he completely dominated the play when he was on the ice. Hopefully many more like this coming.

They are starting the season just like last + thrown in the kids playing better, we will be in the playoffs, if they keep it up through October.

DEA is slick with the puck, has a little Marty St. Louis with the puck on his stick.

ZACHA proving everyone wrong and that is awesome.

Todd, if Dea becomes a staple on the 4th line, who do you think is the odd man out when Bratt is healthy?

Agreed, that was an excellent 60-minute effort. Copley did give up a squeaker or two but he also made a few Grade A stops. The Capitals were terrible in front of him.

They have a lot of speed and use it aggressively. Win or lose, it's usually fun.

I would hope Boyle but guess Quenneville. There will probably be a bit of a rotation, though.

An interesting thing I've noticed in the preseason and the early games is Greene jumping up on offense much more than usual. Scored multiple goals in preseason and has had a bunch of chances in the early going. An interesting adjustment for him.

Team looks super solid so far, going to the game Sunday. They've got a tough schedule this month so if they can keep playing this way and build up a bunch of points that'd be huge.

Great to see that Zacha and Wood appear to have taken a noticeable step forward. Hopefully they keep it up.

CALM DOWN, 2 games no goals and no assists, don't get me wrong I'm happy for the kid, I am glad he has played well so far, I want him to play well, but just because he's finally played with some effort after 2 seasons at the beginning of his third, doesn't mean he has proved anyone wrong, other than sometimes he can put in a shift, and long may it continue.

I'm glad you mentioned Zacha, but it should be noted that he was 86% on faceoffs, which is awesome

So by not proclaiming Zacha a complete success after two games into the season I'm being negative ?.

Did you skip that part ?

and long may it continue. - cu45161

That's right I gave a thumbs up, the opposite of negative.

Bratt in JQV out?

I hope not. I thought he has played well and with something to prove. Getting physical and his chemistry with Zajac is definitely there.

Zacha was the best Devil on the ice for most of the game and that's saying something.

Shvingter's boy was awesome in the face off dot last night winning almost 87% of his draws. That's how puck possession begins

EDIT: Didn't see the FO% post before posting

Probably the fastest Devils team I've ever seen. Weird to be that quick.
