That’s the thing...he would have to trust his word.

So it’s intriguing. It may be the reason why Dubas is turning down all offers and telling other GMs he is not trading Nylander. So it shows him his loyalty to Nylander.

If he does indeed get traded it may be out of no where. Where Dubas flips the switch if he realize he can’t get the deal he needs.

Lebrun said that Nylander may be worried about getting traded. If he signs 6-7 years at a cheaper cost...then he gets shipped to Ottawa in a couple years. Then he is playing on a poop team and for cheap. Have to think his agent is playing that card.

Yeah but Dubas wants him at a lower value so he can be a part of the team.

But let’s say he signs 6x6 and gets a PPG this season and the next...and a team comes along and offers a bonfide number 1 D. Dubas is just going to have to say no to this? Because Nylander signed for cheaper?
