Sure Jim is the one that "hired him", but Travis was essentially who Gagner "reported" to if we are speaking in terms of employee/supervisor/manager/owner. He was told why he was waived by Green, why does he need to hear it again from Benning? Gagner needs to stop whining and take his demotion like a man.

Its such a vicious circle. Owner blames GM(Gillis)/Media, GM (Gillis) blames Ownership/Media, Fans blame players/coaches/media/GM/ownership, Players blame media/fortnite, Media hates fans/gudbanson, gudbranson hates matt martin. Martin hates Keith Ballard. We lost our 1st round pick for Ballard. We are back at hating things.

And even if we try and translate this into the real world

Gagner (employee), Green (supervisor), Benning (manager), FA (owner). Perhaps if Gagner was traded or fired or had his contract terminated, he maybe deserved a call, but a demotion within the organization by the coach?

This isn't a small business, and he wasn't fired, he was waived to a different department within the organization. This is just people making a big deal out of nothing, and Gagner being a whiner.

He was not fired he was demoted . Canucks are still paying him a mighty fine salary and he is still under Canucks employment.

Gagner said he reached out to both Benning and Green and didn't hear back from either. You want to talk about being a beta... that just reeks of someone being scared of conflict.

EDIT: Sorry, it sounds like he talked to Travis, but never heard back from Benning...point still stands
