Two things - 1) Wedgie attacked her in a way he had not done for many people who actually are terrible writers, such as Garth and Tanner. 2) He went out of his way to be offended in this case. I've only ever seen that before when people truly espouse the things that they've been accused of, but won't admit it publicly. It stank of the "nobody has ever been more respectful of women than me" comment from DJT - It was transparent bullpoop. - lumlums
Lums, you know I loves ya, but step outside of this for a moment.
I am sure all you said here is true, however from what is written here, you cannot possibly conclude, beyond any doubt that this was misogyny. There may be dislike of a person, but there is no indication there is hate, distrust or prejudice BECAUSE she is a woman.
"Methinks thou doth protest too much" also does not comprise evidence of guilt.
You may be right that he acted like an ass (I have no idea), but you would need something way more conclusive to really be able to say he is a misogynist.
I hate that that words gets thrown out any time someone calls out a woman on her bad behaviour or criticizes in any way. It is a serious label to put on someone and I think you need much more.

But there was nothing wrong with the woman on her knees joke. Right? - Procrastinator
It would be a joke if "you" got a woman on her knees though. |

Wedge, one of us has driven a woman off the site by attacking her work, and the other one of us is me.
That's misogyny. - lumlums
If Wedgie attacked Tanner and made him leave...
would that be misandry?
No, and there is no difference. |

In this day and age? Stop trying to be the (frank)ing victim here.
When a man says things that paint him as a misogynist, and does things that paint him as a misogynist, then I will call him one. If guys don't like that, then the best way to deal with that is to not be one. (frank) all this "as the father of daughters" bullpoop false rage - either you treat women equally regardless of your offspring, or you don't. - lumlums
WOW.
Lums you gotta step back. He has done nothing of the sort. YOU are attributing his actions to misogyny. Again, maybe he was an ass, maybe he was wrong, but I just don't see where his behavior fits your label.

HB has had it's fair share of bad writers - there's been very few times where somebody has had to quit because of the personal attacks on them. Jillian was one such case.
Wedgie didn't like that I called him out on his part in that. - lumlums
Despite being confused about Julie/Jillian if Jillian is who I remember... he was not alone in his assessment.
