Watching that back in 83 on half a tab of window pane was insane ... but even now that's still the best.

Great blog Sean.

Definitely worried about Marchand going into this game. He has been on fire as of late.

McLellan needs to (frank) off more than I do. What he's doing to Puljujarvi is sort of the same thing Eakins did to Yakupov. It's his third year, he doesn't need to be sheltered.

It isn't even sheltering him. I would have zero issues if McLellan sheltered Puljujarvi and gave him more offensive zone starts. It is his decisions to demote and reduce icetime whenever he believes Puljujarvi has made a mistake that are damaging his development. For whatever reason Puljujarvi has a tight leash while players like Caggiula get to run amok.

I'll fight anyone who tries to put Happy Gilmore in the same conversation as Caddyshack.

Exactly, not even in the same universe. The cast alone was legendary and perfectly matched.

The guys on sportsnet were saying that Puljujarvi was on the 4th line tonight. They didn't actually mention their source though (maybe lineup at practice?). I sure hope not, that will be a major mistake. The guy was fantastic in pre-season and they're already demoting him after one game.. I don't wish the Galchenyuk treatment on any player

Oilers need to put out a better effort than that turd they laid last game.

How will they respond? I believe this game will tell a lot into how the rest of the season is going to be.

They need to show they can play a full 60 and not mail it in for large chunks of the game.

They need to show us they want to win.

I don't think Caggiula has alot of Oiler days left in him.

Their goalie needs to stop giving up the first goal....on the first shot of games and periods. What was it like 13 times last year or something ridiculous?

I would like to hope so but the way McLellan has used him over the past couple years says otherwise.

Yep. Expect him to be sent down to the AHL tomorrow.

Chiarelli will trade McDavid for Petrovic and will make Caggiula the captain.

It's early but this team is legit worse than last year just completely useless defense. Let's see if TM pp can do any good here

This year will be worse than 2010-11 lol.

And no. Todd's a (frank)ing moron. Putting 5 left handers on the PP is just moronic.

Well, that's enough "hockey" for one evening. Hopefully Todd is gone before McDavid's will to live is
