Well. You will be surprised, or even shocked, to find out he is still playing NHL hockey for the next dozen years. Wow.

A lot of Schmaltz bashing. He is at least back checking. Saad looks every bit as bad. Starting to think Saad is the problem.

Toews is free of him and seems to be going along nicely. With two “smaller” forwards.

Second game of the year and people are calling for young playmakers to retire. It's crazy.

Hooking penalty, Johnson, again. Too many men Stl. Here we go again.

Justin, you got your more penalty wish. It's a Canadian Thanksgiving miracle.

I wish he did too. But he's a different player, and he's a very fine hockey player. Certainly not going to retire any time soon(barring injury)

Same poop different year. Btw not telling him to retire but it wouldn't surprise me if he walked away in the middle of a game one day

It may be the second game but I’ve had my fill of Johnson and Martinesen. Both can be sent back down tomorrow. Please.

It would surprise everyone else, because it isn't going to happen.

Hayden can do the same thing as Martinsen. He can also occasionally do something with the puck on his stick.

Kane does it half a dozen times every game. He hasn't retired yet.

I know. I just like the dude. He works hard. Hasn't (frank)ed up or given the puck away for big scoring chances yet so I cannot really complain about his game so far. I do think Hayden has more upside

At least Saad still has his defensive game going for him.
