I'm glad Stan didn't trade the whole team during the first intermission. - matt_ahrens
I thought about it but Seabrook has that damn NMC. Who the hell gave him that? |

I really missed with that 0-82 prediction...I guess 2-80. - breadbag

Did I mention I drafted Johnny in round 10 pick 8 of my fantasy draft??
(frank) yeah Johnny - EnzoD
Been hard on Toews b/c he’s sucked the last two years. He looks like a different player early. Moving so much better on the ice. Confident and he’s got a sniper in Dcat on his line the requires attention. Not sure on Kahun yet. Looks a bit overwhelmed so far. |

Or Mark Twain, but I'll grant it to you this one time haha because you couldn't be more right |

Kahun keeps up with the play and isn't a liability because he can move his feet but that's about it. As long as he doesn't drag the line down and he keeps moving his legs to create spaces and lanes for toews and the cat to operate leave him there |

Looking forward to Berg tomorrow.
Also looking to see our JT in comparison to Tor's JT. Ours is better I bet. He's a high flying hawk and probably a star of the month. |

Not a bad start for the boys, let Forsberg play tomorrow since your playing with house money now, 2 games 4 points. It was nice to see them come back and win this game. Im not going to give up on 7 yet, but he really had a bad bad bad game tonight |

So there really isn't a difference between him and Fortin? |

He does go straight to the net. He is very good on his edges too. Hope he settles in he has some skill. I agree with you he is opening space. No problem with his first 2 games.
4th line is trash though. Play with no structure. It looks like an AHL game. I’m not sure what Q is thinking with that line. |

It’s early - but Toews is making a statement- thought Keith was also solid tonight-

Super early but my optimism level has gone from "We are gonna make the playoffs" to "Toews will win us the Cup".
I do Not have a problem |

I think that while Fortin forechecks well, I would not want him on the top line against other top lines. I would consider Fortin a liability in his own zone. Kahun at least looks like he is responsible defensively |

Seabrook is done. He needs to get 3rd pairing protected minutes and maybe some PP time only. He has never had great footwork but now he is glaringly slow. Beyond that his unforced turnovers and just board wrapped pucks to sides with no Hawks is bad. |

I hope Kane teaches Schmaltz that pass/shot off the goalies leg pad, that was sweet |

K, thanks for your breakdown. I'm a Fortin fan, but if he's a liability ... we got enough of those |

I think you said playing the blues 3 times in 3 weeks equals wtf is that?
Tonight was an answer to week 1 haha. |

Let's get some reverse psychology going (even though I think everyone on this board was in on it all along, you geniuses you) let's continue to trash talk the hawks and they will keep winning. |

I know it's early in the season but it's nice to see them beat a division rival, so much trouble doing that last year. |

Yeah, and maybe they can pounce on the Leafs while they are not playing their best early. |

Saad may not be playing center, but he is camping out in front of the blues net and picking up people in front of the Hawk net. It would be nice is Schmaltz played his position.
Manning is trying to do too much. If he just guard his side of the net. He roams to the wrong side of the net way to often.
Gus has some offensive skills. He just needs a little more discretion on his pinches. An he needs to get his ass back on D and not linger on the half boards after a good pinch.
Joki is looking pretty solid. Let's hope Boqvist and Beaudin develop/progress as nicely. |
