Q has him on the ice with 30 seconds left in his first game tied 3-3...says a lot |

He needs one of these. Got one as a peewee player and my hands improved x50 over one summer. Saad has stone hands right now and lacks the next level explosive skating I remember

He needs something. I wish he'd just do a soft chip in and go get it, he's big enough and strong enough. Whatever he's doing isn't helping himself at all. |

Kane/Toews looking like 2015-16 when they were killer in OT. |

Boy oh boy. At least for one day Toews can avoid the avalanche of criticism. What a game by Toews |

A gimmick win against OTT.
Bright spots few, but props to Ward. He saved their collective butts.
Lots of work to do. |

Well its a win.
Time to dump Martinsen out he gives nothing Hayden can't give and Hayden has better hands, better skill. Rutta also bad, but have to wait for injuries to heal. |

Stole it from Duchene no less. |

Toews was impressive hope this is something we see all year
Kane nice way to end it but there was a lot of yips on the ice with his puck handling tonight
As much as i was worried about Manning sucking, Rutta was the awful one tonight
Nice to start with a win
Schmaltz has got to grow a pair what a chicken poop. |

Better than “meh”, I think - too many mistakes but they outplayed the Sens - eyetest and stats say so (altho scoring chance stats were even).
Good Toews line tonite, Ward kept them in it - don’t know how it all happens against St. Louis and Toronto, but.... |

I'm thankful marijuana is legal here in Vegas. Between reading the board and watching the Hawks games, this season is gonna be a trip. |

Yeah. The Hawks were the better team overall tonight. There are some things to clean up, but after that first period they were not bad. Joki was great, Keith was great. Toews was great. Kane stepped up after a plethora of neutral zone giveaways. |

Saad caught the Toews disease of the last two years of being averse to trying to bring the puck into the middle of the ice. Goes right to the corner or pulls up with any drive where there is a defender between him and the goal |

A very up-and-down game.
Some positives, but overall sloppy game.
They'll need to bring it no Saturday vs. St. Louis.

Expect to see Schmaltz-Anisimov-Kane on Sat night. And rightfully so |

Give credit to Ward who played pretty well after letting in a stinker on their 3rd goal. D-zone coverage was a little better in the 3rd period and Ward held them in there.
I thought Joki played well. Good to see.
Question for Q - why is it that Keith continues to be the one taking the shots on the PP? Keith has a proven track record over many years that he has a weak and slow shot and should be replaced with someone with an NHL caliber shot - Joik, Gustafsson and Rutta would be better options and so would Seabrook except his skating isn't quick/fast enough to get back to prevent breakaways. |

How else is Keith going to get his 2 goals in a year |
