My immediate reaction is 20 games is too much. I thought the suspension for breaking zach aston-reese's face was a clean hit and while this was predatory, I think the headshot wasn't targeted, I honestly believe he was trying to blow through the body, but that is charging and should be ten games. Give another 10 for the head as principle part of contact and voila, there's your 20 games. My suspicion is it gets reduced to 15 games, but yeah, big blow to the caps

I'm totally good with this. Wilson has had this coming for a while now. Unless you're a Capitals homer or just have absolutely no problem with dirty hits in general, I'd like to think nobody would have a problem with this suspension.

For those of you old enough to remember, the Rangers had a guy named Tomas Sandström who was dirty and cheap. So Tie Domi, playing for the Leafs at the time, took off his right glove and coldcocked his as he skated by. Dude was out before he hit the ice. That’s the way to deal with players who do poop like that!!👍

Clearly too much. Corruption run a muck in the nhl, targeting Wilson. 10 games fine. But all these morons who are like off with Wilsons head, end his career etc are scared little poops because Wilson puts the fear of god in his opponents a unique talent game changer, a Lucic type player.
Wheres the big suspensions where Marchand daily, weekly sucker punches, slew foots, etc or someone like Kadri or Domi who did what he did to Ekblad.. I could go on. Exactly nhl is corrupt. If your on 1 of their "protected" teams you can be a dirty mfer but if you play on the edge and not on 1 of their teams even if nhl should be happy bc just about everybody outside western Pa loves OV and Caps doing good is good for nhl. Another thing Hockey like NFL are physical sports, guess what? Nfl doesnt suspend players for head shots 4-8 games etc. No. They have penalties called and only if a defender uses crown of the helmet "Target" he gets a game ejection but he plays next week. Nhl should learn, none of this suspend guys like Wilson who play on the edge for his life bc opponents fear him. Put in a set rules next cba, something like.. 1st offense 1 gm, 2nd offnse 3 gms, max& repeat offenses up to 10 gms.
