Full roster. Going with 8 defense in Gryba, not sure I like this. No Stafford though which is good, and going with Dea.

[quote=Queenie_5_hole]Not trying to start a fight but seriously there were a lot of people saying we should dump Miles Wood over this stupid contract fight. If you watched him play vs. Bern you should realize how much he brings to this team. You want Fast, Attacking and Supportive? That's Miles (frank)ing Wood. Kid is LEGIT. Not saying he's a star but he brings a lot to this team.

Didn’t see the game but glad to hear Wood had a good game. I’m still skeptical though that he belongs in the top 6 on a regular basis. Let’s revisit the conversation after game 20 to see what he really brings to the team this season. Though I do hope you’re right about him being legit

50 points for Dea in 70 AHL games is awesome considering the pens were deemed one of the weakest ahl organizations. This kid is still lighting it up and shoots right!

I’m not sure exactly where he belongs in the lineup either.

20 games should get us close to Thanksgiving.

Whats the circumstances on having the contract slide ? I am pretty sure if Ty Smith goes to jr and doesnt get 9 games here his contract can slide ? Im not to sure on it all but I gotta believe thats why he isnt getting a look. Meaning he will play all this year in jr and not burn off a year of his contract? Does anyone know about what I am talking about and if thats what is happening?

Build a catapult and fire him towards the sun.

It's NJ, Catapults are ILLEGAL. Straight to jail do not collect 200$

It's NJ. Nobody give a crap what's illegal.... although I personally do not want to see Miles wood fired into the sun. Also, very pessimistic a catapult would get him nearly that far.

Go Devils.

Wood still is not a top 6 forward. At least not on a legit contender. He is simply a power forward capable of generating chances on a 3rd line role. Happy the kid is signed and for a very good deal to boot.

Glad to see Quennville finally made the team! Did he play few enough games to still win Calder?

I know, Dahlin, Dahlin - he'll get injured.

That seems a bit inaccurate considering DSP and Tom ' I'm a complete POS' Wilson spent a lot of top 6 minutes on the current Stanley Cup defenders....

Just to funny on Bruins blog, good for Moore:

John Moore: I thought Moore was the Bruins best player on the ice. Defensively he was as advertised, but it was how quickly he got the puck out of the zone and how he was able to create odd-man rushes with his outlet passes. I was also impressed with his aggressiveness in the offensive zone. Moore finished with a team high four shots on goal. The former Devils defenseman was also the only Bruins blue liner who did not finish the night as a minus.

I think where everyone was getting bitter about Wood was due to being misinformed. Fans & writer's alike being told it was a 2yr deal. Huge difference. $200k per yr over 4yrs is a much bigger deal than 2yrs. Everyone was being told it's a 2yr bridge deal. That seems like every contract will be an issue. Had everyone known it was a 4yr deal I think there would've been much more patience shown knowing we have him long term.

Completely agree about Santini & Lovejoy. Santini is the future. Unless there's some big trades for us we are not going to be a top Cup contender this yr. So let Santini get as much experience as possible for next yr. Hynes seems to love Lovejoy on the PK. So maybe he just starts the yr with Lovejoy trying for a start like last season.

So glad we didn't sign Stafford & it looks like Dea will start in the box. Super confused about line 3. All summer I think everyone agreed on Coleman-Zajac-Noeson. I would even be good with someone playing there off wing to put Zajac with Coleman & Wood. That's our defensive line going up against Wings like Panarin & Ovechkin. Centers like Crosby & McDavid. I don't see Wood or Quenville even close to Coleman's defense. Their scoring isn't every night but their defense is.

It is funny until he does well consistently and we realize the big problem on D is Nesreddine's system and John Moore is a decent defender. I'm not really expecting that to happen but I'm worried about it.

John Moore being bad his entire career has nothing to do with our defensive system.

Losing 7-0 is one thing, but playing bad enough to make John Moore stand out is just abominable.

I thought they were playing in Sweden on international size ice - But I saw they resized the rink to NHL specs, that is a big relief I was vexing over that for two weeks for whatever reason. Okay for an exhibition game, but not a seasonal one.

I know Drew Stafford got released from his PTO but it looks like he's still hanging with the team and doing a lot of the team bonding stuff.

Anyone else notice?

Someone needed to replace DJ Zubrus, it's been a missing factor on the team.

Just to be clear, I don't believe the blogger meant "defensively, he was as advertised" as a compliment.

Per A Stein they are rolling with the following lines in practice:

Mojo - Zacha - Noesen
Wood - Zajac - Quenneville
Boyle - Coleman - Dea

I personally think Shero should call Shanny on Nylander

Interesting. Would like to see what Noesen can do on second line. But again no consistencyy for Zscha.
