Sev should already be established and the fact that he isnt - always hit or miss, is a really bad sign.

Butcher plays well in protected role but who knows how he'll be when given more ice time

Severson's play is definitely a cause for concern..hes a "offensive dmen" but he doesn't really produce like one unless he gets pp time. And he's "d" play is very suspect..every game it seems he make at least one boneheaded play

If you go on game center on xbox or whatever and have the devils liked as youre team you can watch all these videos that I imagine are on the devils website but maybe not the behind the glass series but on of those videos was title q making the team so I had hobestly thought he was already a lock after that video came out. Hes a very loud guy who gets the boys going and they love wht he brings practice or games is basically what hynes said about him in the video and it showed some clips of him out there talking away its actually a good watch.

This D corps is not looking good. You have 2 good D in Vatanen and Severson on the two-way side, but who they get to play with as a partner will drag them down whether its Mueller or Lovejoy. Butcher is on the up and up but we don't know how well he will do with more minutes. I'm betting he gets better, but how much if he's not sheltered like last year? Greene is on the downside, still serviceable but clearly not a number 1 anymore. And Mueller and Lovejoy? Oh boy watch out and cover your eyes.

We did. I watched it on TSN. Seney and Rooney look like total non factors, and Lovejoy was hands down the worst player on the ice. That being said, Bratt had a good game, and Severson looked strong. Mueller also looked rock solid. I still feel Hall needs to be on a line of his own, as he keeps skating himself into trouble, then rocketing a pass into Hisch or Palms feet. Hall is a talent that can drive the wing and generate chances with Noesen and Zacha on his line. Let Palms/Hisch/Mojo have a quality line with chemistry.

I just watched some highlights. Apparently Mojo was looking good skating all over the place making sweet passes. I think he has a big year this season, being he's in a contract year. Going to be a tough decision whether or not the Devils resign him after this season. When healthy he's productive. Last years' concussion make me hesitant to offer him anything of significance though.....

meh. not a bad idea really. but the Hall-Hischier-Palmieri line was very good for us last year. Todd often talks about their "metrics".
