Nyqvist to SJ for a 2nd and 3rd draft pick..plus detroit retains 30% of the salary

great deal for SJ..also a RW...better than simmonds probably

Bruins couldnt offer that?

hope prices dont get crazy monday

Elite offensive player, and only going to get better. Getting really tired of watching them go because this club demands them to be something they’re not. Guy is a top 6 talent regardless, stick him on a line with Bergy if you’re worried about his D for (frank)’s sake.

Frustrating.

Yes, better for sure but still a rental.

I’m still of the mindset that you fill holes now and over the summer, then go all in next season and bolster up with rentals at the deadline.

I want to see someone come back with term left or whom they’re planning on resigning.

I'd be happy with Simmonds as an all out rental. Better not cost a 1st or the equivalent.
Ok not the player he was but still a tough competitor and good player who'd be a significant upgrade on a certain similar style vet we have who actually is completely cooked.

Well happy isn't the right word there. More like not angry or moderately hopeful.

I worry that the 3rd line plan is Coyle centering Stempniak and backes

Not saying I disagree, but taking that philosophy means you are burning off another year of Bergeron Chera and Krejci which I'm not a fan of

Hayes goes to Winnipeg for a first rounder and Lemieux.

Different player than Coye for sure, but I am looking forward to watching him play with the Bruins as long as he is utilized properly

May not be a bad deal but glad we didn't do it. Was worried cuz we seem to want to give every able bodied Mass native a go.

I think giving up assets on the hope of re-signing someone is too risky.

I think you’ve gotta be all-in in Stone at this point. With contract extension in mind. They have the assets and rumor has it that the Sens covet some of those assets.

Go big or stay home.

Mark Stone says on TSN he's agreed to terms on an extension with Vegas. As per
@TSNBobMcKenzie
, will be 8 years and AAV around $9 million plus

stone is only 26...apparently ottawa did not want to deal within the division...
