2 Points to Make

The Clinton Arena is a part of hockey lore. Any hockey fan has seen "Slapshot" which was filmed in Clinton, Utica and Syracuse rinks. Clinton had the Comets which have been reborn by Robert Esche and the community. I spoke to former Clinton Comets players and they are treated like royalty by Mr. Esche and for him to not forget the history is a testament to his respect of the history of hockey in the Mohawk Valley. I tell people when discussing the Utica, Clinton, New Hartford, Whitesboro, and Rome area that it is like being in Canada. There are more rinks within 10-15 minutes than most areas and per capita in the US. The Mohawk Valley has had numerous hockey players (both men and women - Zalewski and Gooldy x2 played Div. 1 women's hockey - Colgate, Providence & Princeton). The men are numerous - Sestito's, Esche, Zalewski's, Palmieri, Gooldy, Starzewski, Bostic, Foley, Lopata, Fisher, and my apologies to the numerous people I have missed.
The community is hockey. Check out 315hockey and silkydangles - these are homegrown in the Mohawk Valley.

This brings me to Mr. Brian Gionta. He was playing with and against the Syracuse Stars in juniors and a friend of mine saw him play against his son and people said he was too small and would never make the NHL and he said, "I always knew he would make it because he was a hockey player and you can't measure heart!" Congratulations to Mr. Gionta on a great career.

He's a top 5 forward in the league and the only player to successfully play each game on two different lines.

Rhino seems to have failed to switch over to his other burner account. Right, Hank?

If only Steve Ott would center that line. He wouldn't stand for any of that cloak bullsh!t!

And Hodgson's Father on the other wing, just to level the line out.
