I think Boudreau needed to ice his starters in order to try and get that preseason monkey off his back. So as Dan said, nothing all that impressive about an A list line up beating up on a bunch of inexperienced kids for the most part.
Yes, Coyle got a hatty, but none of those goals involved any real skill. He did make a couple of pretty nice moves, but the first 2 goals were simply right place right time goals. Nothing to get too excited about, but still nice to see him heating up a little bit.
As far as the D man bubble guy... I have yet to see anything impressive about the "defensive" play of Murphy. Yes, he's a great skater and supplies a nice pop with that shot, but his defensive play leaves much to be desired and he doesn't have even a fraction of the toughness Prosser has. That being said, i'm actually pretty disappointed that none of the other up and coming D men are actually good enough to take either Murphy or Prosser out of the conversation.
All that being said, does anyone else think maybe it's time to start shopping Nino? At this point i'm not sure what exactly his value on the trade market is, but he is just way too inconsistent and really does not fit on a roster that is in desperate need of consistent scoring.
