I was optimistic at first. He's better than Berube, Forsberg, and Glass collectively. Tonight is not good. I still have my fingers crossed for him and Forsberg to carry the team. It's still preseason. I'll judge harsher during the season. I don't hang all the goals on him, but 4 of them I will.

I thought it was terrible. He has been mediocre at best for many years. We didn't need to give him so much money unless nobody really wanted to come here

I'm very interested in the hawks goalie pipe line. They seem like they have something there after years of giving away promising guys like Raanta and Darling (even though Darling seemed to regress terribly this last season).

Overall, they're actually controlling the puck/pace to a larger degree and they're limiting chances against, which is a plus. But when they make a mistake, it's always a big one - bad turnover, bad pinch, bad read, etc - and it results in a goal against almost every time. I feel like the mistakes wouldn't be as glaring if the goaltending could stop a beach ball but they're still things that they need to clean up.

That is what Manning was brought in for huh? To make a guy that just destroyed your teammate look better? Glad he stepped up, but it was pathetic.
