Love the way Ty Smith plays. But why rush him. Let him develop one more year in minors. He will be an important part of our future, but is not a season changer for us this year.

Just watched the Devils vs Montreal game Besides Speers beautiful short handed snipe the devils were very underwhelming, Butcher has a lot of rust to shake off made a bunch of lazy passes and was out of position and left the Canadian wide open for the tying goal and then the entire team just imploded... I was very impressed with Quenneville and was happy to see Mcloed finally start to skate in the 3rd can’t wait to see if Smith can continue to play that way for the entire preseason

Starting the season with an OT loss to the Rangers just completely blows. I don't care if it's a preseason split squad game.

I hope so.

I admittedly had a few beers at the game last night but I thought JQ played very well. He created some good chances and that was a wicked shot on the PP.

Mikey was pretty invisible until he decided to turn on the burners in the 3rd. Still not too high on him but he did make some nice plays. A year down in Bing should hopefully make him more consistent.

They will, thats why they signed him to entry level. Taking that chance that he will stick with the team so they dont burn a year, but burning a year is the tradeoff to give him the chance to prove himself for 9 games.

Very good skater and great visions for passing. Didn't see much of his shot yet so not sure there, but very much like Butcher but I would say has over all better top speed. He is a player that everybody should have high hopes for. If he doesn't crack the line up this year and I would bet he makes it next year.

They will certainly need to decide, but just make sure he doesn't play more than the 10 game max or we burn a precious year off that entry level. He may be ready now. Fresh of a 73 point season in the WHL, will he continue to be pushed enough???? He may be ready to challenge Greene for some TOI. Someone has too as I still do not think Greene is a top 4 D in this league.

I would be happy with that. We desperately need a true #2 C to backup Hisch and Zacha is not it. 3 years is a easy window to manage Getz's contract. However I do not believe this will happen, as Anaheim has over 6M cap space with no big raises over the next two seasons.......
