That is a lot of muscle gain in a short time, wonder if Brock was doing steroids this summer.

The difference is buyouts are a real OPTION.
Your speculation is Chicken Littlish
When we are a contender i will wait for you to worry about it then. I’ll enjoy it πŸ‘

Not sure I speculated on anything, as in my previous quote, I said I personally wasn't concerned about the cap, at this point, then stated some concerns that may arise.
Although they may be speculative concerns, they are no different than a speculative buyout, a mid-season roster or a trade scenario or a penalty that could be applied for a Luongo retirement.
A response to a potential Luongo retirement, "He will be placed on LTIR" is also, purely speculative.
Discussing possible scenarios of what may or may not happen is a good thing and should be a stimulating exercise, not an exercise of, you don't agree with me, therefore I shall repeat my position over and over and over again, hoping that the masses will change their minds.

I would easily trade Loui for Ryan for all the reasons you listed but mostly because he can be bough out unlike Loui
- VANTEL

Yeah, have him fill a hole for a couple of seasons then give him the Booth, Ballard & Higgins treatment. I find it funny we only buy out US born players, so Ryan would fit in perfect.

Seeing we have 18m locked up for 2021 & that’s not a problem & leaves us 71m for 19 players. LE is $6m of that & could easily be gone by then or absorbed. Same goes fir both Beagle & Roussel. EP has his ELC end in 2020. He could get a bridge but not likely. So assuming he hits stardom that might mean $10m so leaves us at 28m for 5 F’s & 0 D. Hughes is the following year. 64m for 18 players is a ton of cap & when ELC’s if other prospects are factored in & raises it still looks great. Now if prospects turn out as we expect its good times for us & if a problem cap wise then we are no different than any other contender.
- Nighthawk

"easily gone" who wants 36 year old beagle... maybe save the 900k to bury him in the minors woohoo still a $2.1 cap hole

if you planned more than 2 years ahead then you shouldnt have to worry about making guys be gone...

You can figure out if anyone wants a 36yr old Beagle into the future. I’m not concerned at the slightest now. That far down the road I’ll worry on it then. πŸ‘

Jake went face first into a pile of vomit. When asked at the scrum what he thought? He replied " Just another Friday Night in the life of JV".
