We will be a contender who can't resign Hughes because of the Luongo recapture and our 12 million dollar 4th line.... if everything goes wrong and we don't plan the future.

What's the best case scenario? That we ain't a contender so we don't bump up near the cap in year 4 so the recapture penalty doesn't matter?

You posted that ericsson's cap hit is 4m and 1m which is wrong.
You should have referenced a buyout and buyout year. Considering the min contract will be around 1 million to replace him and his cap hit will be 4 million you only save 1 million for 2021 and it costs an extra 1 million in 22. Great management
