any way you look at it, it's probably the worst dcore in the league, especially with Weber out for months.
with close to 0 top prospect in the pipeline.

add to that the worst center line in the league...

Bottom 10, not sure about worst!

What I'm saying is, regardless of all the fumbling along the way, this team is miles ahead of where they were at this time last year... They do lack a top end D prospect with elite potential, hopefully they can solve that in the next draft or through trade but Juulsen, Mete, Reilly, Brook, Fleury and Romanov are a good start and the changing of the guards has already begun

Seems that way lol

The drafting of Kotkaniemi and acquisition of Suzuki are a real turning point for this franchise, they couldn't add good young prospects at every position in 1 summer but the direction they've taken this off season is reason for optimism, for me anyway... Except the Galchenyuk trade!

oh I agree with the first part, I just think it will take more time for them to have an impact on the team. you can not expect all kids to do what Barzal did last year. that is extremely rare. but they're heading in the right direction, finally.

also, I'm okay with the Galchenyuk trade. they got a good young player in return.

Good young players are coming up more and more in impactful roles all over the NHL... The next 24 months will really set the table for this franchise...

I have no issues with Domi, excited to see him play and love the enthusiasm he's showing about being there, hopefully he can reach new heights in the spotlight. I just don't believe they got enough value for Galchenyuk and would of rather see them replenish the hole left by Sergachev instead of acquiring a winger.

That's why they will probably pick a lot of defensemen in the next draft

That's a pretty safe bet... And if out of the top 3, their 1st pick should definitely be a D

An impact player could speed up the process. Just look at Toronto.

And I would tend to agree. They went after centers big time this summer and could do the same with defensemen next summer.

Also, what's the over/under on Carey Price's first injury of the season? Does he make it out of October??
