This is so stupid. MTL will finish bottom five and Weber will be traded this trade deadline or next. No way he sticks around for the rebuild... he'll be what?... 50?
Don't name a captain at all. Look at the leafs. Made a captain for the sake (Phaneuf) and also to make the trade look better (..ehem.. subban/weber).. and it was a waste of time and a disgrace to the C really. Just no. |

Nothing that crucial about it.
That being said, I think they should roll with 4 assistants this year, no captain. Let the season play out and pick one next year.
