Agree on points two and three, but on point one the only way I could see them doing that for an extended period of time is if they moved Mojo to center. I really don't think any of our other centers generate enough offense to do anything besides hurt Halls value.

Butcher with VAt makes no sense 2 small D men play the same game. NO.
Wood scored 20 but most were that fast break down the wall...He needs to learn to PASS if he wants top 6 minutes. I also Like MOJO at center. Put another Kid with HALL-Nico

Have you ever watched a devils game, Butcher and Vatanen couldn't be more different, that's like saying brooks orpik and Zdeno Chára play the same game, there both big guys right.

I get people don't like Zajac... but I can't see a world Stafford gets in and Zajac sits. And NO he's not getting traded...

I would like to find a set of combinations where Coleman-Boyle-Noesen are on the 4th line. I love Coleman, but if the Devils can try and get 3 scoring lines somewhat working (not saying they are all great, but push the action rather than concentrating on defense too much) then there could be better position to get Wood/Bratt both into the offense.

What about dropping Hall off 1st line to 2nd line where he can maybe slip into a double shift with a 3rd line every so often to test other teams?

Experimentation in preseason is like experimentation in the bedroom. It's fine as long as nobody gets hurt and nobody forces anyone to do things they don't want to.

That said, I can't see splitting up Nico and Taylor. How (frank)ing long have we been waiting for a true first line center?

Are we going to bump the MVP from top line?

Nico and Hall are a package. The chemistry will only get better and Hall said, its a privilege to play with Nico.

Why split them up when he obviously loves playing with Nico and before he needs a new contract.

If Shero is worried about depth he should have done something in offseason. He didnt so that means Nico and Hall will be together for eternity.
