Watched the highlights and thought goaltending was terrible which is disappointing since we wasted a 2nd on blackwood and he hasnt shown this organization anything. Also seemed like we where short handed quite a bit or it felt like they capitalized every time we went down. Obviously i didnt catch the game like i said i saw the highlights but wow was I unimpressed with what I did see.

I have said it before though its hard to develope game breakers when every player you draft is a safe pick. The Talent the devils leave on the board because they look for bland boring safe picks instead of players who have natural offensive abilities.

I agree with Todd on everything other than blackwood, in my opinion he was acceptable at the beginning, but overall inspires no confidence.

Brett Seney was easily the best player, I'm not saying he will make the team, but he will defiantly be given the chance to. Fabian Zetterlund, has chosen to defy me since he was drafted so who knows, although I think he has considerably less chance, than seney, even though he is an RW, whilst seney is a LW.

We really do need a top 2 RW badly. After Palms it drops off. Hopefully Anderson can rise to the occasion, but I am not overly confident. And ya Blackwood has given me zero reasons to rejoice. I doubt KK can duplicate his season, so lets hope Schneids can rebound or we will enter the season with some major deficiencies.

not good. needed that top 10 pick last year.. not this year. we should be taking steps forward this year, after securing another top 10 pick last year, not the other way around.

I agree in a sense but, I do think we got at a steal at 17.

Im hoping Anderson is like Wood and just keeps getting better just when every one thinks he will be capping off. Both have seemingly improved each season since being drafted. If they both can surprise and become regular second line players we would be alright, its just a matter of how big a if that is (Wood is half way there already ).

Wood has become a great bottom 6 goal scorer that can certainly become top 6 if his passing/system play improves. He has speed/size/physicality resulting in turnovers. Just needs to better his possession and patience a bit and he is a true top 6 player on this team. Joey Anderson has much more to prove at this point. Sure hope he can do it.

Does this Cam Johnson have a shot at being an NHL goalie at some point or is he more for Bing?

Also noticed in watching interviews that Ty Smith chipped his chicklets at some point between being drafted and now lol

Probably about the same shot Kinkaid had when we signed him, and at this point probably as good a shot as Blackwood unfortunately.

Kink is very streaky with a suspect glove. Lack is nearing the downslope at 30 and wasn’t very good anyway. Cam Johnson has unimpressive numbers and pedigree...

Just don’t get why we let Appleby walk.

Seems we have let a few guys go that could be argued where useful. I thought Auvito or however his name is spelt had decent numbers and we refused to give him a look even though we brought him over from Europe.
