That's a reasonable concern but I'm not giving up on him yet. Matteau seemed too slow and not skilled enough for today's NHL. Lou Lams drafted him because of his 'old school' appeal but the game has changed. Q seems more suited to today's game but hasn't gotten much opportunity. He's 22 so he can either establish himself as a player, like Coleman did last year or be working his way to obscurity. We'll see!

This is what I dont understand...

Bratt made the team as a 6th rounder because of his training camp / preseason.

Quennville had 3 years of training camps and preseasons and hasnt done enough to stick with the team, on a team that had many holes to fill.

Does that mean Bratt played better that one preseason than Quenville ever did in 3 yrs?

Isnt it enough to throw in the towel? Im not sure what we/Shero are waiting for from Quenville. If he hasnt produced or grown enough in 3 yrs, what will it take?

Probably for competition purposes only. He can still sign with another team if they like what they see.

I see no harm in him joining camp again.

If Stafford is there to push Quenville and McLeod , fine. Otherwise its a waste of time, money and a roster spot most importantly.

IM really excited about our future at D. I just hope Severson takes that next step and plays like a possible all star Dman and that Santini takes a huge step up as Greene getting close to retirement and Lovejoy being a goner after this year!!
