I loved putting my straw thru one end of the bag and out the other. In 4th grade I thought that was magical |

Upshall is one of the hardest working 4th liners in the league. I would’ve thought a few teams would be clamoring for him. If the Blues had room for him, I’d take him back in a heartbeat. |

Last season with the Blues, Brodziak and Upshall averaged 455 minutes of 5 on 5 time together. - freelancer
How many minutes did the Blues, as a team, average last year? |

I like it, grinders are usually underappreciated. Upshalls work ethic will help the others pick their sh*t up...don't want to get outshined by the old guy! :p |

Super exciting to add more 4th line talent.
This should change our fortunes a great deal |

Our transition game should be on the upswing now I figure |

From the players' own accounts, an element of veteran presence seemed to be missing from the team last year. Maybe Upshall and Brodziak are an attempt to address that and replace what some believe Hendricks brought to the table. Assuming his legs don't fail him (ala Jokinen), he's a guy that provides reasonable depth for cheap. |

Probably 60, although I'm not counting OT |

Solid PTO option - Reveen.
Surprised they didn’t announce the Wolski and Booth PTOs at the same time. |

I have a trade proposal for you guys. The Oilers trade Caggiula to the Sabres in exchange for Jake McCabe.
Explication: 1) The Sabres have too much lefties and could be forced to trade one of them to make room for Guhle and Dahlin, though he can also play at the right side.
2) Caggiula could be replaced in the short term by Upshall and in the long term by Tyler Benson.
3) McCabe could play right away as the 3rd leftie behind Klefbom, Russell or Nurse (one of them will need to play at the right though). McCabe isn't a flashy D but he's effective in his own zone and can sometimes help in the offensive zone.
What do you think about that trade?

I'd do it, though I'm not sure Sabres fans would. |

No. A third pairing defender (who may turn out to be a top four) is worth more than a third line winger (who may turn out to be a 4th). No even close. No one wants Caggiula. |

McCabe is just as replacable as Caggs. Neither are worth poop. Don’t make him out to be worth a (frank) because he’s not. |

Then how did Upshall and Brodziak alone average 455 minutes last season? |

If he was a righty I would look at it... we don't need more lefties. |
