I predict they finish second last in the West and Chayka gets fired.

Better odds that Brooks Orpik wins a scoring title.

Who are you trying to deceive Tanner. Coyotes are going to be bad again. Raanta isn’t a superstar, Strome will be just like his brother and unable to translate his game to the NHL. The team literally has two players anyone is concerned about, Keller and OEK. Everyone else is okay at best.

I'm not deceiving anyone. I know full well that no one will look beyond name and location of this team and last year's standings. But when everyone is 'shocked' at how good they are, you can say you read it here first.

Just like I was the first guy to say Taylor Hall had MVP talent, that Jake Gardiner was an elite defenseman or that Nazem Kadri was superior to Matt Duchene/ a legit 1C, or the first to call the Hawks decline into mediocrity.

Well Mr Tanner. Absolutely no hint of hyperbole in that article. You'll excuse us if we take a wait and see approach to the Yotes season. The forward group can score some but so did last seasons Islander squad. Problem is there are two ends to the rink and the forwards I see have been inconsistent in their own end. And that is being charitable. They do seem improved and I think making the playoffs would be a great first step, but still a few pieces away.

this is the best roster the team has ever assembled, and one of the best in the NHL.

Antti Raanta is a potential superstar in goal.

Darcy Kuemper is probably the best back-up in the NHL

On Defense, the Coyotes boast one of the NHL's best blue-lines.

Nick Hjalmarsson remains one of the best defensive players in the world,

Hey Tanner, I know you get paid based on hits, so I dedicate this post to your kid affording a book at the local community college.

You're like that broken clock right twice a day that starts boasting when you are are actually right twice a day.

Well except for the fact that I almost never brag about anything, you might be right who knows?

The Coyotes do have a great roster, and I'd question the bonafides of anyone who didn't think so. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

God your articles are just hot garbage. How do you even still get permission to write anything here. Put the Kool-Aid down before you end up in a mental institution.

If the coyotes have a great roster, it’s odd they finished with 70 points only 8 more than the last place Sabres, at least my team got Dahlin out of it, who I would consider better than your entire defence save for maybe oel.

As a Sabres fans I’m all for positivity towards your team, but saying the coyotes have one of the best rosters in the league is out to lunch, besides your opinion do you have any information to back that up?

Considering most of their team stats are in the bottom half of the nhl.

Is there anything different in this blog from last year? Or a couple years before that? And why is it so hard for you to write "if everything goes right, this team has the talent to surprise people" and instead have to troll with "one of the best teams in the NHL!"? Hyperbole from you isn't entertaining, it just makes people think "same sad old Tanner."

Well unfortunately, this happens to be true. Best goalie tandem. Close to the best blue line, and a great group of forwards. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean I'm not right.

There is zero hyperbole in this article. It's just a fact, and you're going to see soon enough.

Tanner claims he was the first to predict the Hawks decline into mediocrity?

What an absolute joke. The Hawks decline into mediocrity was predicted about 10 seconds after they won the first cup and they started having to pay out all the performance and playoff bonuses and gutted half the roster on top of having to match the hjalmarsson offer sheet.

The only difference is the Hawks were able to delay the decline about 5 years and two more cups later

Tanner just bold faced lying here and pretending he put some proverbial stake in the ground a year ago like he was ahead of the curve

Good god what a load of crap. All you ever do is claim you're right about everything, then whine when you're proven wrong, then double down on always being right. It's like an endless cycle of insecurity.

Well I guess if you say it every year then you may eventually be right, hardly furthers your point at all.

Hypothetically, if you were right they were one of the best last year, and you are right they are one of the best this year; then it's clearly hyperbole to say they WILL make playoffs and challenge for the division. While saying they could if things go right for them isn't. And that's assuming you are correct.

Hall is a former #1 pick. It's a given there's MVP talent potential.

-5 is not an elite defender no matter how much you say it.

Kadri is a fantastic 2c.. but would be a poor man's 1c. He's going to be the most overqualified 3c in the league.
