I hope the Oilers will be patient and return Bouchard to junior for at least 1 more season. Edmontons history of rushing players onto the big team before they are ready has hurt many of their prospects development.

Oh yeah, Jets fan talking poop after his team finally has a good season.
Who exactly was rushed into the NHL too soon? Yak ? There was a reason for that, you know?

The jets clown doesn't even know what he's talking about. If you're drafting a #1 overall pick, that kid is supposed to be NHL ready. Oilers didnt rush poop, maybe didnt surround the players with talent good enough to support them but thats on management.

Nailed it on Point, Bubba.
Hall and Nugent Hopkins delivered as rookies and thereafter.
Schultz broke every defenceman scoring record there was a rookie AHL defender.
Yak is retarded.

Does he have any other examples? Nope. He’s a loudmouth ding dong who won’t say poop when the Jets window closes in 5years.

Easy champ. You didn't become the greatest intercontinental champion of all time by losing your composure.

I’m not sure he’s the best option right now. The remaining free agents are junk. I like the idea of Benning getting some more opportunities but I wouldn’t mind another veteran who can slot in at either 4or 5, just in case.

I think it's reasonable to suggest RNH was a tad rushed into the league. While he was plenty skilled enough for the league, he certainly wasn't physically ready for it that year. As I've mentioned in the past, shoulders aren't something you can rush in strengthening and Nuge is a prime example of a guy whose shoulders weren't prepared for the strain a full NHL season puts on them. That's likely part of why it was a rather innocuous stumble that did him in.

You can certainly contend that it mightve been better for him long term to have played another year in junior and strengthened his stabilizer muscle and improved his stamina. As we know all too well, not all 1st overall picks are created equal.

Oh Hell yeah, best of the bunch. Injury history a concern and no question why he allowed to walk from a deep Jets blueline.
Wonder about some of his points totals though, and their serious decline. Has he really gone down hill as an offensive D or just a combination of injury and being pushed down the depth chart that moved him off the effective PP units?

Really? Davidson isn’t that good at all. Enstrom is at least capable of 30 points if he can play 82 games. Davidson couldn’t get 30 points if he played 282games.

Bottom line, we need Talbot to stand on his head or we are franked.. Our D isn't capable of controlling the playand it probably doesn't matter who we add
