I find this Unlikely, If the Senators or Canadians couldn't consummate a deal at this point then both players will be trade deadline pickups.

I more interested in what Babcock has to say about all this.

No one wants to go to The Islanders. They lost avares and all their UFA the last few years.
Now with Cheapo LOU.
Lou builds a good team but no top players want or have ever wanted to play for him . -Except Marty Brodeur.

If Pax or Karlsoon have any kind of NMC they are not going to the Iels and are not signing there.

This is another false narrative. No local sports insiders, including TSN, Sportsnet, Ottawa Sun, Ottawa Citizen, SpectorsHockey etc have reported anything like this.

Again, good click bait but nothing of substance.

Both need a culture change. With the right circumstances, they could both become very good ECHL players.

Ek-Why would either of those guys sign with the Islanders? They have Lamorillo, Trotz and Barzal. There isn't much else to draw them there. Got to believe those guys would rather hit the open market on July 1st.

I guess Lou could flip either player at the deadline but that would be pretty risky considering Paccioretty or Karlsson could get hurt.

Makes sense that with Eberle and Lee being UFA next offseason that they'd want more wingers in the same situation.

If Pacioretty is traded, then what could a possible return be with the Islanders? They need Left D and centers. Pacioretty and a 2nd for Bellows and Left D? Is that fair?

Habs need Bellows to go with their list of Ex-NHLers sons.

You can add to that Hayden Verbeek who is Pat Verbeek's nephew

Future is bright

lets land one of karlsson or Pac before we go discussing landing both.

We definitely have assets to trade but id only prefer Karlson.

Id flip a Lee, Nelson, Bailey, or Ho Sang for Pacorietty.

Best bet for the Islanders...trade for Erik Karlsson then sign Seguin in the offseason. BAM better than the JT days.

I have heard though that the Isles would consider moving for Pacioretty as a rental...
- Eklund

So the Islanders - who finished 17 points out of a playoff spot this year, and in the offseason have lost their best player and added Matt Martin - would be willing to give up significant assets for Pacioretty - for only one year?
