Can't go solely by collegiate point production, because that's only one area that's looked at. Amorosa has made significant strides in his game the last two years and has more natural offensive skill than Drake but Drake is better without the puck and a good skater for a 6-foot-6 defenseman.

Do we know that he wasn't offered and AHL contract? Maybe he just declined and wants to look elsewhere after today.

If I were him, I'd see if there was any interest from Europe. His chances at making the NHL are pretty slim, so his best chance for a larger payday may be a European pro league.

Amorosa won’t be the last kid with potential that doesn’t get signed in the Flyers’ super stacked system. They need to be very careful to not let any really good late bloomers get away.
I love all the great tidbits Bill shares about the prospects. It is all about building a winning franchise including the AHL. So as the future NHL players develop they do it with the habit of winning.
