Why not: at worst, he makes guys on the team earn their spots.

agreed - was hoping the Leafs would invite him to their camp

low risk / possible medium to high reward

exactly. much better PTO than inviting guys like Tanner Glass (sorry, had last year's Calgary team on my mind).

Sounds good to me. Until he signs and turns into Hayes.

I thought he played his 4th line role fairly well in Calgary last year for the time we had him.

Im pretty sure we have 6 guys that can fill a 4th line role already. Maybe if he can trade shore for Draistl?

Or SHORE up the blue line?

You think he knows Paulie Shore?

Or Paulie from the Jersey Shore?

Surely there must be a connection from shore to shore.

I said that a few weeks ago on one of these blogs. The kid could be a solid offensive player on a budget friendly line. I see him and Bratt connecting

Devils need a Maroon type player in the lineup got way too pushed around against TB in the playoffs, I know he is 36 but would bring attitude and not afraid to drop the gloves when needed!

Scott Hartnell has 707 points in 1200 career games and Nick Shore has 53 points in 236 career games....I am missing your critique of Hartnell completely I guess!

It must be nice to have such a lack of understanding of anything that you think this proves your point.

Shore was quietly a very effective player for the Kings (i watched nearly every game he played). When he was given time with better players you could see how well he passed the puck, and it looked like he was starting to get more confidence in his offense. Also a solid faceoff guy and very good on the PK. GREAT depth signing, a lot of Kings fans were sad to see him go.

If you were to compare him to a player we all know, who would it be ?

Also, Nick Ritchie is still an RFA. I always loved him. As close to Maroon as you can get but I think faster.

And at best he makes the team, meaning we didnt throw away a position to someone who wasnt good enough.
