Lol, weeks ago we were all doomed and Botts was trash

Wow, I'm pretty (frank)ing happy about this.

Anyone leaked it? Or just a bomb drop?

Somebody forward the EK thread where he called this trade. I don't remember seeing it....

Botts is delivering on what he said he was going to do:

1) changing up the core - re: ROR, Kane and Lehner gone
2) more speed
3) great drafts (with some luck thrown in)
4) a good UFA goalie signing

If he can somehow shed one of our legacy contracts (Bogo comes to mind), it would be a 10 out of 10 summer. As it sits now, about 9.5.

Oh and we still have 3 1st rounders next year (conditionally)!

I excluded Guhle, Olofsson, O'Regan and Malone as they can be sent down. All of those guys I mentioned are locks to make the team, or they would have to clear waivers

I agree with your depth assessment with one small change. I would put Baptiste ahead of Girgs as our 13th forward. Also, i don't know who is less brutal, Hunwick or Blow-you?
